Reconnective Healing Session Demonstration, Hull, Quebec, Canada (near Ottawa, Ontario)
Mar 05, 2012
This is a 1 hour long Reconnective Healing session at my house in Hull, Quebec, Canada. This is one of the more dramatic sessions I've had. Normally there is not quite as much movement. The video demonstrates quite clearly the non-voluntary movement that can occur. Other registers, such as rapid eye movement, certain scents such as vanilla, sensations of hot and cold, gusts of wind, etc. are also common. Although not visible in the video, I could see quite clearly the client's rapid eye movement along with the rather obvious muscle movement. This was the third session with this particular client. Previous sessions were also dramatic, but this was the first time that his head and upper torso moved upwards right off the table. Of course, these registers are not the most important part of the session, healing can occur without them. I will discuss later another aspect of this work that seems to have come to the forefront lately. That is, the "unseen help" that so often rather mysteriously assists in this work during healing sessions.

Driving to Ottawa/Gatineau via Highway 416
May 19, 2012
Available in high quality. This is a video of driving from the Highway 401/416 interchange (around 360 km east of Toronto) to Ottawa/Gatineau. Gatineau is a city located directly across the Ottawa river, in the French-speaking province of Quebec. Ottawa is located in Ontario and (for the unenlightened) is the capital of Canada. The drive begins on Highway 401 (eastbound), then onto Highway 416 (majority of the video), then finally onto Highway 417, which is part of the Trans-Canada Highway. Upon arrival, the video also includes a brief drive through Ottawa and then Gatineau. Notice the significant change in the style of traffic lights as one crosses from the province of Ontario (Ottawa) to Quebec (Gatineau). I find the Quebec lights to be somewhat amusing :) The whole drive is around 90 km in length, and is sped up approximately 7 times. This video (and several others following this one) were made by my new cheap miniDV camera. I still haven't figured out a decent mount, so the video includes lots of shaking and some zoom mishaps, so don't expect top notch quality. In Canada's capital city of Ottawa, most tourists find themselves at Parliament Hill and the several blocks that radiate from there, since many of the city's museums, shops and points of interest are located within that radius. Near the Parliament is Byward Market, which dates back to the 1840s, offering farmer markets and craft stores that you can explore along some pedestrian-only streets.

Earthquake hits Ottawa City Council
Oct 03, 2011
"An earthquake struck Ottawa, Canada at approximately 8:45 pm Eastern Standard Time on February 24, 2006." said one area resident. Natural Resources Canada, however, says the earthquake of 4.5 magnitude struck Western Quebec on February 25 at approximately 1:39 UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) which is effectively GMT (Greenwich Mean Time). (Earthquakes are generally listed in UTC time to ensure an absolute and consistent basis of when they occurred.) This may have been felt several hundred kilometres away. Located North of Thurso According to the Canadian Press the earthquake was centred north of Thurso, Quebec, "approximately 45 kilometres east-northeast of Ottawa, said John Adams, a seismologist with Natural Resources Canada." Witness reports state somewhat violent shaking with little or no property or personal damage. "It started as a rumble, then shaking... the whole house was shaking and the glasses were rattling," said Jeff Thiessen, a resident of Manor Park. One Ottawa resident said "the ground shook for about 30 seconds and was felt by residents near the city center." There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage to property. According to the US Geological Survey (USGS) "A magnitude 4.0 eastern earthquake typically can be felt at many places as far as 100 km (60 mi) from where it occurred, and it infrequently causes damage near its source." Follow-up reports indicate that rumbles could be felt as far as Kingston, Ontario, Montreal, Quebec and New York ...
